field.It will give you so many chances for a good job.There is so much scope and requirment for a programmer in IT sector.Many companies require good programmers.You can do java or .net course along with mca.Networking is also a very good option but the salary in this field is no good.So choose programming field.So you have to good knowledge about programming language and after mca you can apply for a job in mnc company. You can go for courses like- 1.JAVA 2.VB.NET 3.Networking. These are the courses which are in huge demand now a days.. If you go for any of these courses then it will help you also to get a good job in a leading software company.. You can get a job in IT companies like- 1.TCS 2.CTS 3.WIPRO 4.INFOSYS 5.ACCENTURE 6.CAPE GIMINI These are the leading IT companies of Asia.. So, you can apply for any of them.. All the best.. |

Eligibility Qualifications for admission to M.E. Computer Science and Engineering: M.C.A. (10+2+3+3 years pattern) or M.Sc. 5 years integrated (IT / CS / Software Engineering) or B.E./ B.Tech. (EEE/ ECE/ Electronics/ IT/ CSE/ I&C/ E&I/Instrumentation) NOTE • M. Sc. (2 years) course is NOT eligible for admission to M.E. • Candidates admitted through Lateral Entry in Degree Courses are NOT eligible except, B.E./B.Tech. degree. • B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. degrees obtained through Distance Education Mode / Week end Courses are NOT eligible. |

You can opt for MBA either correspondance or regular. MCA+MBA have a decent scope. |

Re: Should I do short term courses after MCA? what are my opportunities after MCA degree after MCA easily you can find out a good job for you now. although the market is not so much good till you have good knowledge on your subject easily you will get job. but if you do some short term course then it will be very much helpfull to you whenever you will do job. also it will an advantage for you at the time of campusing. if you want to do any course then do that type of course in which field you want to work in later. if you want to do job in networking field then only do some short term course on networking. but if you want to do some software job then do some language based short term course. whatever you have learned from MCA, is sufficient for getting job. but if you have the opportunity to do some course then do not miss it. |

Well, this is one of the common problem among the MCA graduates. Such a huge number of students are opting for MCA that India has almost 30% extra MCA graduate then what is needed by IT Industries. This crisis is alternately created by CSE and IT engineers. So, in the present time persuing MCA from a Institute having good campusing facility is a wise option. However, in this situation few of good options are as follows:- Opt for any type of job, weather small or big it doesn't matter, only thing matters is weather it is related to your domain or not. Then by having at least 2+ years of experiance, you can move towards some good options and companies. If you ever read the classified for reputed IT company say- Congnizant you will find that candidate having at least 3 year of experiance can only apply for good post say- Software Tester. While working in any small or big company, simultaneously persue E-MBA or a Corresspondance MBA. this is also a better option. If financial or any type of family problem is not associated with you then just opt for higher studies like- Regular MBA or P.hd. Or at least any PG or Advance diploma courses. Even you can try campus recruitment in software companies. As you know MCA is equivalent to the B.Tech in computer science, But every small and big companies gives first preference to the MCA student because they believe that MCA students have more practical knowledge as compared to an engineering student. So you don't need to do any short period courses like networking or any programming languages like .Net, Java,etc. You get good jobs in campaigning. But if you really wants to do some expert level courses, then i would like to suggest to go for RHCE(Redhat certified engineer),LOTUS,AIX,CISCO. These are the highly demanded courses in the market now a day. You can surely get high profile jobs after completion of these courses. So take good decision for your bright career. Best wishes.... |

Re: Should I do short term courses after MCA? what are my opportunities after MCA degree after completion of MCA the job opportunity is very high. there are so many company which give preference to the MCA student than the computer science engineering student. also to become a faculty to an institution master degree is compulsory. if you are interested in short term course you may do. but you should have a good knowledge what you have already studied. but you may join in short term course like HTML, .NET, JAVA, RDBMS, LINUX etc. choose the best suitable one or two and build career on this. best of luck. |

As I have also discussed above that following courses are of highly valued for a MCA Graduate which also promisses good career oppurtunity. SAP PGDM (IT) Advance Diploma in Computer Application Certificate course in .NET/ JAVA Certification from Companies like- HCL, Red Hat, Sun etc. Apart from these HCL also offers stipend training for IT Graduates.
