The academic qualification required to apply for Teacher Eligibility test:

>>The minimum academic qualification required for this exam is bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized stream with minimum of 50% marks.

>>Bachelor of Education qualification is mandatory.

You can not apply for TET exam without B.Ed course.

Yes, B.Ed is compulsory to apply and write that entrance examination.
TET stands for the Teachers Eligibility Test.
It is conducted on state level as well the central level. This entrance exam is conducted for government teachers job.

So you can apply state level TET exam as well as central TET exam. There is no age criteria for TET exam.
Also you are eligible for faculty post in a diploma college through Public Service Commission.

TET is Teacher Eligibility Test. Along with academic qualification such as higher secondary, graduation or post graduation it is pre-requisite to have the diploma or bachelor degree in education or equivalent qualification.

So, you are not eligible to appear in the TET examination, if you have not pursued D.Ed or B.Ed course from a recognised institutions.
