Re: How many subjects are there in MCA 1st year? MCA stands for Master of Computer Application. The first year of MCA course comprises of two semesters. In first semester there are five theory papers and two practical papers. The first semester subjects are as follows: 1. Computer Fundamentals and Programming in C. 2. Computer Organization. 3. Descrete mathematical structure 4. Software Engineering 5. Optimization techniques and statistical methods using C. 6. Software Lab - 1 based on paper 1 7. Software Lab - 2 based on paper 5 In Second semester of MCA first year there are five theory papers and two practical papers. The second semester subjects are as follows: 1. Introduction to internet and Web designing 2. Data Structures 3. Computer Networks 4. System Simulation 5. Object Oriented Systems and C++ 6. Software Lab III 7. Software Lab IV |

Regularly MCA course length in India is of 3 years if the graduation of the applicant is a B.Sc degree course, though assuming the competitor is a BCA course graduate, through horizontal section framework MCA course span will be for a very long time. |

Re: How many subjects are there in MCA 1st year? MCA, a post graduation course will be chosen after B.Sc or BCA degree This is a 3 year course and each year, there will be 2 semesters. There will be 5 theory papers and 2 software labs in each semester in first year. There will be internal and external marks for all the theory and lab papers |
