Re: Eligibility for PGT Commerce in Government High Schools? A postgraduate teacher (PGT) teachers the classes from IX to XII. To become a PGT, a candidate must hold a post-graduation degree (M.S or M.Sc) in the relevant subject. Candidates with a masters degree in Hindi, English, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, Commerce, and other subjects are eligible for the job. The eligibility criteria vary with the candidate’s chosen subject. The educational requirements for teachers can vary from an undergraduate degree to a postgraduate degree. Candidates must thoroughly check the criteria before applying for the posts. |

Master’s Degree from a recognized university 50% marks in aggregate in Commerce subjects. Master’s degree in commerce. However, holder of the degree of M.com in Applied/ Business Economics shall not be eligible Age limit for PGT:Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)40 years |

Re: Eligibility for PGT Commerce in Government High Schools? For recruitment as PGT in government school, the required minimum educational qualification is that candidate must have passed master degree from a recognised university as well as have B.Ed qualification. So, candidates with above qualification are eligible to appear for CTET or State TET. Candidates after qualifying in all stages of examination will become eligible for recruitment as teacher in government schools. |
