Re: Can I join NDA Navy if my eye sight is weak with -1.5 National Defence Academy Examination is conducted by UPSC two times in a year. To apply for this examination the candidate should have completed intermediate with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects from a recognized School or equivalent qualification. If your eye matches the below mentioned standards then, definitely you are eligible to apply for this examination. Physical Standards :- -> Army & Navy acceptable Height is 157.5 cms. -> Air Force acceptable Height is 162.5 cms. -> Chest should be well developed. -> Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. Eye Standards :-

The candidate's who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam. Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. If you should fulfill below given eye sight criteria then you are eligible for NDA exam.
