Females can not apply for Income tax officer exam.Because this exam having some physical requirements.

To become a Income tax Officer,you have to give a written exam conducted by Staff Selection Committee(SSC).

Eligibility:

-->candidate must have graduation degree with minimum 60% agrgregate marks.

-->candidate age limit should be between 21 to 27 years.

-->Relaxation available for reserved candidates.
For OBC-3years.
For SC/ST-5years.

-->candidate must be the citizen of India.

Selection process:

Selection process is containing three stages.

1)Preliminary exam(Tier-I)

2)Mains exam(Tier-II)

3)Interview(Tier-III)

Physical Standard:

Height: 157.5cm
Chest:81cm,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5cm.
Walking 1600 meters in 15 minutes.
cycling 8kms in 30 minutes.
