One who wishes to become sub inspector has to appear for SSC CGL exam .

The eligibility to become a Sub Inspector are as under:-

-The candidate should have a citizenship of India.

-The candidate should have passed Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

-The candidate age limit to apply for the post should be in between 21 years to 27 years.

-Physical standards requirement to apply for the Sub Inspector post :

*Height-

For male candidate-170 cm.

For female candidate-157 cm.

There is relaxation in height for hill men and tribals by 5 cm.

*Chest: 85 cms with expansion (There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

For Male candidates:

100 meters race in 16 seconds

1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes

Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances

High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances

Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances

For Female candidates :

100 metres race in 18 seconds

800 metres race in 4 minutes

Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances

High Jump: 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances

*Eyesight :

Distant vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.

Near vision: 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.

-The candidate should not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.


-The selection process consists of

* written exam and

* physical test.


-Written exam syllabus :

*General Knowledge

*General Awareness

*Reasoning Ability

*Maths.

hello friend..

yes you can apply for this job you must have

1. age between 20 to 25 years//

2. written test will be take, whih have 2 phases; physical indurance test, medical examination & interview test..

important dates:
Last Date for Online Application for Part-I Registration:
10th April, 2013 up to 5 pm.

Last Date of Online Application for Part-II Registration:
12th April, 2013 up to 5 pm.

Date of Exam:
[a] 10th June, 2013(Paper-I) And [b] 18th August, 2013(Paper-II)
