Re: How to become psychiatrist with arts in 11the and 12th? Aspirants who have 12th passed with Science Stream with biology as one of the compulsory subjects from a recognized university. After that candidates will have to complete or qualify an MBBS. |

Re: How to become psychiatrist with arts in 11the and 12th? Psychology is study of mind, thought pattern and behaviour of human being. Art student can become psychologist but not psychiatrist. For becoming psychiatrist student need to be MBBS but for becoming psychologist student can take any stream. The basic difference between psychologist and psychiatrist that the psychiatrist has the authority to treat the patient of depression counselling psychotherapy and medication but the psychologist can treat patients through counselling and psychotherapy but not with medication. |
