Re: Eligibility for Indian Forest Service Exam for Statistics student? °°° The eligibility conditions for the Indian Forest Service exam can be categorised under four heading as under: Nationality Age limit Number of attempts Education °°° The candidate must have a bachelor's degree with at least one of the following subjects such as animal husbandry and veterinary Science, Botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, statistics, physics, Zoology, agriculture, Forestry or engineering. Every candidate appearing for the examination shall be permitted 6 attempts. But the candidates belonging to schedule caste and Scheduled tribe have no number of limits in attempts. Re: Eligibility for Indian Forest Service Exam for Statistics student? You do not need a degree in science, engineering, agriculture or forestry to appear in the IFS exam. You should have a degree in Commerce, not in Science, you are not eligible to take the exam even if you study statistics . |

Eligibility Criteria:- Education Qualification for IFS exam:- For appearing in this exam candidate must be a graduate in any one of these subjects - Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a bachelor's degree in agriculture or Forestry from any government recognised University. Age Limit:- The age of the candidate must be between 21years to 30 years. Maximum 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/ STs. Number of Attempts:- Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the preliminary examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. Eligibility for Indian Forest Service Exam for Statistics student? I have done B.sc in Economics. I had studied Statistics as one of the subjects in first year and final year. Also I had Mathematics as pass subject for two consecutive years. Am I eligible for Indian Forest Service Exam? |
