Re: Is there any way to pursue psychiatry for Humanities student? The minimum qualification required to pursue a Psychiatry is a candidate must have passed 10+2 in the Science stream with biology as one of the compulsory subjects from a recognized board. After that a student will have to complete MBBS and then will have to enroll for the Psychiatry MD course or a diploma in Psychiatry. After completing class 12th one must clear admission tests for universities and institutes that offer this course and a few medical entrance exams conducted for medical admission are given below. --> National Entrance Examination Test (NEET) --> AIIMS EE --> JIMPER EE --> SCTIMIST EE --> NIMHANS EE |

Is there any way to pursue psychiatry for Humanities student? I am a humanities student of grade 12. The subjects included in my stream are English, history, sociology, political science and psychology. I am very much interested in pursuing psychiatry, is there anyway I can do that? Or will I have to look for something other than psychiatry under psychology? I have heard that we can attend a foundation course, will that help in any way? |
