Re: Can I apply for CDS after clearing 6th semester backlog? Yes after clearing your last semester backlog you can apply for CDS. Education criteria for CDS : Candidates appearing for the CDS exam must have completed graduation from a recognized university or appearing for the final exam of the degree. There is no percentage criteria but the candidate should possess a graduation degree without any backlog at the time of document verification. |

Re: Can I apply for CDS after clearing 6th semester backlog? With a backlog, you are permitted to attend the CDS. But you have to*keep in mind that by the time you are required to enter the Academy, you'll need to finish your backlog and have a degree. If you are unable to provide a degree at the time of enrollment, your candidature for that program may be revoked. |

Re: Can I apply for CDS after clearing 6th semester backlog? Yes. After completing your 6th-semester backlog, you are eligible to apply for the CDS exam. Even, if you are in your final year of Graduation, you can apply for the CDS exam. |

Yes you can definitely appear in the CDS (Combined Defense Services) examination once you clear any pending backlog of your B.Sc. degree as for appearing in the CDS examination candidate should not have any present backlog upto the last semester / year for which results have been declared upto the time of submission of application and therefore once you complete your B.Sc. degree without having any backlog in the same degree you become eligible for appearing in the CDS examination as far as the educational requirement for appearing in the same examination is concerned. But keep in mind that you will have to clear your backlog and have a degree by the time you have to join the Academy. The eligibility to apply for the examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing in the final year of the course. So, candidates with backlogs can apply for the examination but have to clear all their backlogs before the final selection. To get more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |
