Re: How can I join merchant navy after completing 12th in arts? Those who completed their 12th with science and have studied subjects like physics, chemistry and maths are eligible. Those who are interested and are arts student can apply for different post in Navy after completing graduation from a recognised university. You can apply for Indian army as a soldier. |

Re: How can I join merchant navy after completing 12th in arts? Eligibility: 1. Merchant Navy course Age limit for Boys and Girls is 17 years- 25 Years. 2. Candidates should have completed their 12th Boards with PCM. 3. A minimum of 60% aggregate score is required in the 12th. |

To join merchant Navy and to pursue such courses, one should have completed 12th with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognised board with good percentage. |

The candidate can not join merchant navy after completing 12th in arts stream. The eligibility criteria says that the candidate should have passed 12th in science stream to be eligible for merchant navy. The candidate should be in the age group of 17 to 25 years. IMU CET, JEE Advanced are the exams to qualify. |

Re: How can I join merchant navy after completing 12th in arts? 12th arts students are not eligible for Merchant Navy. Physics, Chemistry and Maths is required in 12th for Merchant Navy. After 12th with PCM one can apply for Deck Cadet post in Merchant Navy. One must have very good eyesight, physical fitness and no collar blindness for Merchant Navy. You have to pass written exam and physical fitness test to join Merchant Navy. |

Only science students with a background in physics, chemistry, and mathematics who have finished class 12 from any recognized board or institute are eligible to apply to the Merchant Navy post. |
