Yes Mathematics plays a important role in Polytechnic course. The mathematics which you study in polytechnic course is just same as 11th & 12th standard. The topics which covers 11th & 12th maths are present in Polytechnics course. These topics are the basics for the chapters like Fourier series, Fourier transform, Probability etc which you will study in engineering course. Thus you must have knowledge of these basics. Without maths you will not be able to pass engineering course (after diploma in polytechnics).

The Polytechnic course are the basic engineering courses mainly done after 10th. Polytechnic courses in India are mainly of 3 years to pursue or 3 and half years in some special cases. The range of engineering and technical course offered by the Polytechnics includes :

Fire Safety Engineering
Aeronautical Engineering
Ceramic Technology
Civil Engineering
Cyber Security
Computer Science and Engineering
Textile Technology

Mechanical Engineering etc.

Yes, Maths is considered to be one of the important subject in Polytechnic course during admission in a particular field.

Which types of Mathematics is there in Polytechnic courses? Also, please clarify whether maths is an important part for polytechnic or not?
