Re: Taking 2 years drop for JEE Main will affect my placement?

Note that, most of the IT companies recruit candidates if they have 2 or less than 2 years of academic gap.

Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, IBM, etc. hire employees even if they have 2 years of academic gap.

However, if you have gap more than this, then there are many IT companies especially MNCs which will not recruit you.

Also, these academic gap issues is common with MNCs only. Startups and other small IT companies generally recruit candidates even if they have more than 2 years of academic gap.

Dropping a year for JEE Main preparation will definitely not affect your career at the next stage.
The year drops for some unusual reasons affects the placements after studies. To get more details about this, you can check it out on Google.

Taking 2 years drop for JEE Main will affect my placement?

No, it does not matter or in other words two years drop does not affect JEE Main placement.

If you pass your graduation with a minimum of 60% marks from any recognized university. And the applicant has good command over communication skills, analytical skills, English proficiency. Then can stop him or her from getting a good placement.

No. It will not affect your career or placements if you take a two-year break for JEE Main. If you can give a good reason, there are many companies that will let you take a year off. But you must have the required skill set to get selected.

Re: Taking 2 years drop for JEE Main will affect my placement?

If you are not satisfied with your performance and you are motivated to prepare one more year to secure better rank then you can go for an year drop once again without thinking of you chances you will get during placements as in most of the companies there is no criteria of maximum year drop and placements are more based on your performance and technical skills you hold at the time of placements.

Further, I would like to advise you that you must explore the college options which you are getting at your present rank rather than blindly thinking of year gap as year gap can cost you one crucial year of your career and in this current situation if you hold right technical skills and knowledge then you will enough options in off campus placements even if your college is not a very reputed college to attract top MNCs for on campus placements.

No. Taking 2 years drop for JEE Main won't have an impact on your career or placements. There are several companies which allow year gap if you can provide proper reason for that.
