Bachelor's degree or diploma in education has become mandatory for candidates who want to teacher in government schools at primary or secondary or higher secondary level. So, yes, B.Ed is compulsory. B.Ed qualification is necessary for Teaching Eligibility Tests like CTET, STET etc. You can either pursue D.Ed or B.Ed for becoming eligible for these exams. Since you are post graduate, if you have minimum of 50% marks in bachelor's degree, you can apply for B.Ed course. |

Candidates having other qualification as D.Ed/D.El.Ed as educational qualification are eligible to appear in the entrance examination for recruitment as teacher So, if you possess the required educational qualification than you are eligible to appear in the examination for recruitment as teacher. |
