Re: Eligibility for primary TET exam for SC candidate

The applicants must fulfill the following eligibility conditions as prescribed by NCTE from time to time to be eligible to appear for Primary Teacher eligibility Test.

Applicant must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% marks in any stream and a two year Diploma in Elementary Education recognized by the Government board.

OR

Applicant must have passed his/her graduation with 50% in any discipline and a two year Diploma in Elementary Education which should be recognized by the Government.

Note: 5% relaxation of marks in 10+2 board examination or its equivalent examination that is 45% will be allowed for SC/ST/OBC/PH/ EX-Servicemen category candidates.

As you have mentioned you belong to SC candidate and your marks is 45% in graduation level of study you can appear for TET but along with the graduation you need to have a degree of Diploma in Elementary Education as well then only you can apply, only on the basis of graduation marks you cannot apply for TET exam. You need to have both the degree/pass certificate in your hand in order to apply.

For primary TET the common eligibilty is that candidate must have passed 12th with D.El.Ed or B.Ed qualification.

Candidates have to appear and qualify in CTET or STET conducted for the recruitment in government schools.

So, if you possess the required qualification then eligible to appear for the examination and after qualifying in it eligible for the final selection.
