Re: Difference between Interior Design and Applied Art?

Interior design is the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthy and most aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. An Interior Designer is someone who plans, researchers, coordinates and manages such projects.

The applied arts are the application of design and decoration to everyday objects to make them aesthetically pleasing. The fields of industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, interior design, the decorative arts are considered applied arts.
