My aggregate is 74%. And I need the full information about the course like How many years, it's fee structures and what to do take admission. |

Im very interested in 'Navy Merchant' but sir/mam whats the process of joining the navy..?? And which exams should we give for joining any institute of navy.? or We can join directly aftr our engg. require some trainings.?? Sir plzzz rly me on my email id thats-- "[email protected]".. even I had completed my Diploma with 77% all this qualifications are ok or should I have more train in special institute of navy.. Plzzzzzzz sir/mam rly me for this.... I had read ur above comments but still I required more and deep information which can be given by u only.. |

Courses : Career in Merchant Navy can be pursued either as an officer or a rating in mainly two specialized fields, i.e. Marine Engineering and Nautical (deck). To become a seafarer, following streams of entries (Pre-Sea courses) are available to Indian citizens in the Government as well as in private training institutions (recognized and approved by Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping):- Officers 3 year degree course in Nautical Science for (10+2) students. 4 year degree course in Marine Engineering for (10+2) students. 2 year course for Diploma Holders. 1 year course for Graduate Mechanical Engineers. 3 month course for Deck Cadets for (10+2) students. Rating (Entry standard Xth) 4 month Pre-Sea Course for General Purpose (GP) rating. 3 month Pre-Sea Course for Deck rating. 3 month Pre-Sea Course for Engine rating. 4 month Pre-Sea Course for Saloon rating. In addition, a candidate can join as utility hand or Petty Officers (Fitters) after completing 4 Basic Courses, i.e. FPFF, EFA, PSSR and PST. bullet Govt training Institutes : There are four Government Training Institutes providing Pre-Sea and Post-Sea training of international standard : Training Ship Chanakya, Navi Mumbai. Re: Merchant Navy after b.tech in electronics & communication engineering HELLO, Yes there is oppurtunity for you in " electronics & communication Branch" of Merchant Navy. Qualification for which is B.Tech (ECE) with at least 60% aggregate. You have to complte 10/12 months pre sea training which is offered by recruiting company itself or few Institutes. Job of Radio Officer is also compatible for you. To be qualified as Radio Officer an individual need to do a two week GMDSS course. The Radio Officers looks after all the electronic communication and the related records. In addition, he also looks after electronic navigation aids such as radar, depth measuring devices, long range navigation equipment and global positioning system etc. ALL THE BEST |
