Re: NE SLET eligibility for Life Science?

The eligibility criteria for the North East State Level Eligibility Test (NE SLET) in Life Science may vary depending on the specific guidelines set by the respective state conducting the exam. The NE SLET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges in the North Eastern states of India.

Follow the bellow steps for eligibility criteria for the North East State Level Eligibility Test (NE SLET) in Life Science.

1. Educational Qualification: To be eligible for NE SLET in Life Science, you typically need to hold a Master's degree (or its equivalent) in Life Science or a related discipline from a recognized university. The degree should be completed with a minimum percentage or CGPA as specified by the conducting body.

2. Minimum Percentage: Generally, candidates belonging to the General category need to secure at least 55% aggregate marks in their Master's degree. However, there is a relaxation of 5% for candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD) as per government norms.

3. Age Limit: The age limit for NE SLET may vary depending on the conducting state and the specific guidelines issued for the exam. Generally, there is no upper age limit for appearing in NE SLET.

4. Reservation Criteria: The participating states may have different reservation policies for different categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates. Check the specific guidelines and notifications issued by the respective state conducting the NE SLET for details on reservation criteria.

It's important to note that the eligibility criteria and other details for NE SLET are subject to change, and it is crucial to refer to the official notification or information brochure released by the conducting authority of the particular state where you intend to appear for the exam. The official notification will provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding the eligibility criteria, application process, syllabus, and other relevant details.

For detailed and specific information on NE SLET eligibility in Life Science, I recommend visiting the official website of the respective state's higher education department or the agency responsible for conducting the NE SLET exam in that state.

Re: NE SLET eligibility for Life Science?

Those who hold masters degree with atleast 55% marks from a recognised university are eligible.
Candidates should choose a subject that they have studied extensively and are well versed.
Some of the subjects that you can choose from are:-
Zoology
Chemical science
Mathematical science
Thus Zoology is also in the list, if you want you can choose , provided you have studied the subject in your masters program.

NE SLET eligibility for Life Science?

I have completed MSc in zoology and I want to apply for NE SLET but I do not see zoology in the list of subjects. So can I apply for life science instead?
