Re: How to join Merchant Navy after 12th Non Medical Stream? you can join merchant navy after 12th. but then you would be alloted the post of just the deck cadet. but if you presume an engineering degree and then get into merchant navy, then you would be recruited as an engineer post. anyways, if you have to join the merchant navy after 12th, then you got to score high in IIT-JEE to get into chanakya institute. also several other institutes organise thier own entrance exams. some of the famous institutes offering merchant navy training are: Training Ship Chanakya, Navi Mumbai. Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata. Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Mumbai. Lal Bahadur Shastri College of advanced Maritime Studies and Research, Mumbai. these are the four government training institutes. but to get into these institutes, keep your senses sharp for the various announcements made. anyways, you got to study hard and score high in your 12th and also start preparing for the entrance exams. |
