Central Bureau of Investigation Eligibility to join CBI is candidate must have bachelors degree from a recognised university. To join CBI one has to appear in Combined Graduate Level Examination of Staff Selection Commission that is conducted by Government of India and it has 4 stages and you need to clear each of these or will be eliminated. CBI recruits Sub-inspectors through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) CBI also inducts officers in the ranks of Inspector of Police and above from the State and Union Territory Police forces on deputation. Non-police officers are also taken on deputation in CBI. Age Criteria is - minimum 20 years whereas, the maximum age limit is 27 years - relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC. Re: How to appear for CBI exam? CBI recruits personnel under four broad categories - Executive, Ministerial, Prosecution & Technical cadres . Executive Ranks are the mainstay of the organization. Their job provide technical assistance in the field of crime investigation, IT support and computerization. The selection for Cbi is done only through the UPSC exam ....which can only be given after graduation however |
