Let me tell you that R.D.Sharma is no doubt a very good book but its problems are not of that standard in comparison to the type of problems asked in IITJEE. Hence it is advisable that you go for these books:- For Physics H.C.Verma( volumes 1&2) For Chemistry K.L.Chugh( for class XI & XII) For mathematics M.L.Agarwal If you don't want to get accustomed to these new books then another option is that you go to some coaching institute like FIITJEE, Akash Institute, Pathfinder and ask for study material packages which they provide for a certain amount of cost. Best of luck!!! |

I would like to tell you that nearly 5 lac students sit for the IITJEE exam each year of which only 10000 get selected which means that only 2 students from every 100 students get selected. Hence, the competition is very strict and tough, so your preparation needs to be of that level. Keeping that in mind the examiners also set that type of questions such that the major bbulk of candidates cannot qualify. Hence your preparation needs to be of that level in order to crack the exam. R.D.Sharma is no doubt a very good book but it alone cannot help you in cracking the exam. I would refer you some more books which will help you a lot more in studying PHYSICS H.C.Verma( both the volumes) CHEMISTRY K.L.Chugh(for class XI and class XII) MATHEMATICS M.L.Khanna Apart from these it would be best for you if you subscribe for the MTG magazines named 'Physics today', 'Chemistry today' and 'mathematics Today'. all the above mentioned books will be easily available in college st. best of luck!!! |

No my dear frien R.D.Sharma is not sufficient to crack IITJEE owing to the standard and toughness of IITJEE exam these books will help you a lot H.C.verma(for physics) K.L.Chugh and R.C.Mukherjee(for chemistry) M.L.Khanna(for maths) apart fromthese books you also have to work very hard in order to crack the exam. try gaining conceptual intelligence because that forms the major area from which questions are asked. Also subscribe for the magazines 'Physics today', 'chemistry today' and 'mathematics today' published monthly by MTG. these will help you a lot BEST OF LUCK!!! |

I think that R.D.SHARMA is so best for IIT-JEE because it contains special emphasis on concept building and theory illustrated through MCQs and Problem solving techniques through MCQs and large Number of solved MCQs and large number of 'assertion -reason' type MCQs and most nice in that it contains Exercises MCQs and chapter-test at the end of each chapter. You should take it this book is too good for IIT-JEE. |

Best books for PCM? i recommend some very very useful books for iit jee. everyone say ml khanna for mathematics but it's level has been decreased compared to the new pattern. hence i recommend tmh and asit das gupta-problems plus in iit mathematics for maths. CHEMISTRY: Inorganic: O.P.Tandon Organic: Jagdamba singh Physical: O.P.Tandon Physics: G.C.Agarwal-G.R.B publications-problematic course &H.C.Verma-conceptual course. If you know each sand every concept in this books and you are able to apply each and every concept for whatever question of that type given then you will compolsary crack iit. ALL THE BEST. |

for cracking iit jee exam, not only hard work is required but strategy is also required for preparation. you must first study from ncert books to clear your concept. after that i will suggest you to study from tata mcgraw hills for maths d c pandey for physics arihant for chemistry you must also for once try to solve all the previous years question papers to get the knowledge of pattern and difficulty level of the exam. while solving the sample papers, never see the solution directly. first try to solve the questions by yourself two to three times. if then also you fail, then see the solution. you must remember these tips to get good result. good luck. |
