Re: Jobs on basis of gate score? Hello Friend.. Nowadays GATE score is very common to various PSU's for calling the students for their interview process.. Following are the list of some companies which uses GATE score for their recruitment process: --ONGC --NTPC --AAI --BHEL --BPCL --PSPCL --HPCL --RITES and many more... So it is one of the important exam if you want to get a job in PSU's... All the best.. |

Re: Jobs on basis of gate score? hi dear..., there are no notification released for jobs on the basis of gate score...... after BE when you go for a job at that time if you show them their gate score then you might get selected on the basis of your score in gate..... like Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Indian Oil) takes candidates on the basis of gate exam........ you can find many such companies which considers the gate score in the selection procedure......for this you will have to search for such jobs in their official website..... best of luck... thank you |

Re: Jobs on basis of gate score? Notifications are being released from time to time from psu's like BHEL,NTPC,etc on the basis of gate score are are being called fr GD & PI..............the only thing u have to do is to be update ...........by checking their websites regularly......... |

Hi dear, Well, dear there is no GATE percentile restriction as nothing is mentioned in eligibility criteris of IOCL recruitment except following- Selection will be based on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineers (GATE) 2010 score of the candidates in the concerned disciplines. On the basis of GATE-2010 score, the candidates will be short listed for further selection process comprising of: --- Group Discussion / Group Task --- Personal Interview for assessment of different facets of knowledge, skill, attitude and aptitude. Candidates will have to qualify through each stage of selection process successfully before being adjudged as suitable for selection. Selected candidates shall have all-India transfer liability and may be posted to any Division / Unit / Subsidiary Company / Office of the Corporation. General category candidates will have to execute a bond of Rs.1,00,000 (Rs.25000/- for SC/ST/OBC & PH candidates) to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of three years from the date of joining (date of appointment as Engineer in case of GAEs after successful completion of training). As we can see there is nothing mentioned regarding percentile requirement. However, its a common analysis that candidates with good only manage to get there. say at leasdt 90+ percentile. thanks |

Re: Jobs on basis of gate score? Graduate Aptitude Test in engineering (GATE) isn’t just an entrance exam. For those who pass the exam, it means that they are eligible for a good job. There are companies like IOCL(Indian Oil corporation limited) , ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation), BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre), SAIL(Steel Authority of India Limited), BHEL(Bharath Heavy electrical Limited), etc which gives the candidates a call based on their GATE results. |

The candidates with qualified GATE, are applying in both private & govt. sector always given preference then other candidates. Even some companies sometimes set the eligibility criteria for their job, only for GATE qualified candidates. |

You can get many lecturer jobs in various private colleges on the basis of gate score. You can't get any job in the government sectors. So better to try in the private sectors. many multinational company also provides jobs on the basis of gate score. Good luck! |

Dear friend Some of the government sector recruit the student on the Gate score card, I am providing the name of some government sector that are as follows: 1.ONGC 2.IOCL friend, in private sector recruitment is not done on the basis of gate score card, to get job in private sector , you have to appear in exam conducted by the organization. There is one benefit of valid score card in private sector is that you fill find more money per month with respect to your colleagues. Best of luck |

They prescribe their own eligibility criteria which you need to meet to get a chance to sit for interview. But what GATE score help is it increase your chance to get the job as good GATE score indicates that you are technically very sound. Rather you can try for the following if you have good GATE score :- 1) Research in DRDO, ISRO etc. 2) M.Tech in govt. colleges like IIT, NIT etc. So, if you have real interest in higher studies then go these. |

After, passing GATE entrance exams, anyone can get jobs on the basis of GATE score. There are manny companies like IOCL - Indian oil Corporation ltd. , ONGC etc. So, please read daily newspapers for any recruitment notifications. And you will definately get a job on the basis of your GATE score, because GATE scored play a very important role to provide jobs in any company. If the students scored good marks in this entrance exams.............. |

Re: Jobs on basis of gate score? there are no jobs in which you may entry with only your GATE score. there are such company in which you will get a good preference if you have cleared GATE. also there are such company in which if you want to serve you have to crack GATE. but only good GATE score can not give you job. but i will tell you if you have a good GATE score it is very advantageous to get job. |
