In order to join Indian Air force after Polytechnic you have to qualify the AFCAT exam.The details of this exam is described briefly below. The AFCAT Entrance Exams Are Totally Based On Multiple Type Questions And The Exams Are Of 2 Hours And In This Exams You will get Questions Of Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Verbal Ability, General Awareness, General Aptitude.In AFCAT exams you will get questions around 100. So, please purchase some good Books from the market, which covers all these sections and keep practice these section regularly, only then you will be able to clear this exams. |

Exam will be of 2 hrs Duration with Objective questions. For preparations:- Books you should refer R S Agarwal quantitative aptitude, For Gk. Go for manorama, Competition success Review magazine. General Awareness Go Books for IAS. A Sample paper i have uploaded you can have a look on it. Note:- Last date to fill AFCAT form was 22nd February, & exam Date is on 27 April 2011(Sunday). There is a fixed pattern of the entrance exam which has to be known before to clear it. For this you need to have the papers of the previous years. Below are the AFCAT papers which will help you. Paper 1 Paper 2 Paper 3 Paper 4 Paper 5 You need to be 60% aggregate in all your Years in graduation. So you can follow all the competitive books to prepare for AFCAT... I have uploaded some papers of AFCAT, so that you can get an idea. But follow those competitive books....that is enough. |

In 2011 the exam is held on March 27 in designated test centers. --The AFCAT is a 2 hour long exam which will have objective type question. --Each of these objective questions will be provided with 4 options as answers. --The candidate must select the correct one from the given option. --The Syllabus of AFCAT exam will test students in the areas like Reasoning, Numerical and verbal ability. Other than these students will also be tested in General awareness and Knowledge. --The number of question will be 100 or more. --For preparing for the AFCAT candidates must prepare by solving previous years question papers and also must refer to books and guides indented for this exam. Students can also refer to other competitive exams like Bank PO, LIC, NICL etc. all the best |
