Re: How to become an ACP after Graduation?

Hello friend,
When you join the IPS as a fresh officer, you are appointed as an assistant commissioner of police (ACP) or assistant superintendent of police (ASP), in a sub division comprising three to four police stations.
To join IPS, you will have to take the civil services examination conducted by UPSC. The exam comprises of three stages:
Civil Service Aptitude Test
Main Exam
Interview

You have to clear all the three stages and secure a good rank to become IPS officer. Apart from the three stages mentioned above, you will also have to clear a physical test.
To take the test, you must hold a bachelors degree, in any stream.
The minimum eligible age is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years for General category, 33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST.
For more information, refer to the official website of UPSC.
