Re: What is the main difference between NDA and CDSE?

The first major difference between NDA and CDSE, is that NDA is not an exam where as CDSE is an exam. NDA or National Defence Academy is a defense institute in Pune. CDSE is Combined Defence Service Examination. To join NDA, candidates have to write UPSC exam. The candidates who wish to join the NDA can write the UPSC exam as soon as they finish their +2. The combined defence service exam is for graduates to become permanent commissioned officer.

Re: What is the main difference between NDA and CDSE?

hello,

The basic difference lies in the qualification.

NDA exam ,you can write it after your 12th exam while for the CDSE exam, you have to pass a graduate to sit for this exam.

After completing your B.E. graduate you can also apply for CDSE, but NDA is more good in promotion.

Thank you.

NDA stands for national defence academy, while CDSE stands for combined defence service exam. The former is an entrance one for a course, while later is meant for service.

Re: What is the main difference between NDA and CDSE?

Yes you are correct NDA and CDSE both exams are conducted for the entry into the defense forces.

The major difference between NDA and CDSE is:

NDA: A candidate can give the NDA exam only after 12 class and his age should be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

CDSE: A candidate can give the CDSE exam only after completing his graduation. His age should be in between 21 to 25 years.

Another major difference is females cannot give NDA examination. NDA examination is applicable only to male candidates.

Whereas CDS examination is applicable to both male and female candidates.

CDSE - mean Combined Defence Services Examination. This is also conducted by UPSC. The min qualification for it is graduation.

Re: What is the main difference between NDA and CDSE?

Dear Friend

Both of these examinations are conducted by UPSC and both are conducted for
entry into Defence services.

One can apply for NDA examination after 12th but for CDSE one should have a
Graduation degree. The stream of academics depends on the type of service(s)
one is applying for. Also the age limit for these examinations are different.

Both of these examinations are for Defence Services but the type of work and
positions are completely different.

The maximum age limit for NDA examination is 19 years whereas the minimum age
limit for CDSE examination is 19 years.

Therefore it can be said that one can be eligible for only one of these two examination
at a time.

For more details about these examination visit the UPSC official website.
