Re: Name of the GK book for IAS entrance exam? dear friend, According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam 1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks 2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks. so,friend you have to strong in your subject as well as General Knowledge. To increase your general Knowledge ability : 1:study the daily newspaper. 2:See the daily TV news 3:Braking news 4:study your general science subjects Physics,Mathematics properly. 5:Study some books by Upakar Prakashan,Anand Prakashan,R.S Agarwal Also I'm giving you some books follow these books: 1.> 2.> 3.> best of luck. |

Re: Name of the GK book for IAS entrance exam? if you are willing to qualify IAS EXAMS , you have to follow some basic needs to understand the strategy of IAS exam , please follow the following steps: 1) start studying CBSE BOARD BOOKS of SOCIAL STUDY,POLITICAL SCIENCE,CIVICS . THIS WILL HELP YOU TO CLEAR YOUR BASICS. 2) READ QUALITY BOOKS having ISBN NUMBER 3) READ LUCENT G.K, GENERAL SCIENCE, OBJECTIVE TYPE SOLVED BOOK. 4) ALL THESE are not enough to Qualify IAS Exam so also read Ancient Indian History, and Indian Constitution. You should keep yourself updated what is going on there everyday. For this read at least a national level newspaper like Times of India everyday. For current events you can read Spectrum. This examination is conducted by the UPSC every year. To apply for this examination a candidate needs the following eligibility criteria. Education Qualification For the civil service examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university.
