there is no need to submit birth certificate during the counselling of b.tech. your 10th class passing certificate already contains your birth written on it. there will be requirement of other certificates like domicile certificate, school leaving certificate, 12th class passing certificate, character certificate etc but there will be no need for birth certificate. |

Re: Do we need to submit birth certificate for engineering counseling hi dear it is not necessary to submit your birth certificate while admission in engineering. while in admission they required your rank card which you have scred in AIEEE or any state entrance exam ,10th mark sheet & certificate, +2 vice versa. good luck......... |

You haven't mentioned which engineering counselling are you talking of, is it of AIEEE counselling or other state counselling. However to our best knowledge for any engineering counselling birth certificate is not required. For verification of knowledge you can submit certificate of10th board exam. You should check what documents are to be brought for verification from the website of respective counselling board. |

Your age is considered from the date of birth recorded in your matriculation. Your age must be 17 years or above at the time of counselling. The documents required are :- 1) Xth marksheet and passing certificate. 2)XIIth marksheet and passing certificate. 3) Character certificate 4) Medical fitness certificate. 5) Caste certificate (if applicable) 6) Admit card and score card of entrance exam you have cleared for engineering. |

Generally, you have to submit xerox or attested copy of 10th admit card and marksheet if you are appearing candidate and if you are 12th passed then you have to submit your 12th marksheet also. In any engineering counselling the proof of date of birth is needed just to verify that you are an eligible candidate and to ensure that the date of birth you have mentioned in the application form is right. So if they ask for your age proof or proof of the date of birth you can show your 10th or 12th admit card where your date of birth is mentioned. best of luck....... |

The authorities calculate the age of the concerned candidates based on the date of birth mentioned in Class X certificates. The requirement of birth certificate depends on the college for which you are selected.All the details about the certificates are informed to the candidates through the call letter which they send to the candidate. You date of birth will be checked form your Xth class marks sheet and the birth certificate is not required in that case. So if they asked you to submit a proof of your date of birth then you can submit your Xth class mark sheet as a proof of Date of birth. |

Hello friend, The answer to your question is that no college or university requires birth certificate at the time of counseling or even at the time of admission.Your age is calculated as per your date of birth in 10th standard admit card.So no need to worry about that and to enhance your knowledge i must tell you that character certificate is required at the time of admission by some colleges and universities. |

The document required in the counselling is given in the letter dispatched by the college. So if you get the counselling letter by any college or University then required document is written in the latter.
