AFCAT exam is of 300 marks,where you get 100 question in possible 2 hours. exam contains 4 sections section1-general awareness Books- use general knowledge book of current affair,magzines like india today. section2- english knowledge use book like wren and martin section3- numerical ability books like Rs aggarwal . section4-reasoning and military aptitude test use S.S.B interview books best for military aptitude and at last use |

Re: Names of books to prepare for AFCAT Exam? dear friend, afcat includes 1.English 2.General knowledge 3.Reasoning 4.Maths so you can buy a complete book of arihant for it..or you can refer to the below listed books 1>for Aptitude and Reasoning---->R.S Aggarwal 2>for english--->wren and martin(grammar book),synonym and antonym(Arihant) 3>for general knowledge daily news paper reading is more than enough..else you can go for any good book or magazine.. thanhx |

Re: Names of books to prepare for AFCAT Exam? AFCAT will be of 2 hours with multiple choice of questions, and the sections are: 1. Reasoning 2. Numerical ability 3. Verbal ability (English) 4. General Awareness, GK 5. General Aptitude The number of questions would be around 100+.. It is advisable not to but any extra books for preparing AFCAT.... Because the syllabus of AFCAT is same as other competitive exams like MCA entrances, Bank PO, LIC etc... So follow the entrance exam books of those exams and you can easily crack AFCAT. AFCAT paper has 100 questions which you will be answer within 2 hours. Paper consists of general awareness, numerical ability, test of english language, reasoning and military aptitude. Here I am recommending few good books for your success in AFCAT. AFCAT (Air India Common Admission Test) examination guide by RPH editorial board. English grammer and composition by Wren & Martin, A modern approach to logical reasoning by R.S. Agarwal. For quants you may buy Nishit Sinha. Good Luck |

AFCAT test consist of 100 questions.. each carrying 3 marks..so, it is a test of 300 marks.. The four test section of AFCAT is shown below- 1.Test of general Awareness 2.Test of English Language 3.Test of Numerical Ability 4.Test of reasoning and Military Aptitude test.. Books preferred for AFCAT exam are mentioned below- AFCAT exam guide by RPH editorial board As the exam is similar to the bank PO exam so , you can also follow the BANK PO exam reference books like- OSWAAL chapter-wise solution of Bank PO exam(10years solved paper) UPKARS State bank PO exam by TS jain Ramesh SBI and Associated Bank PO exam guided by RPH editorial board.. etc..
