Hey you need to be strong in your core subjects if you need to crack your IES exam.Just get strong in your subjects form the first year of the course like Electronic devices and Circuits,Pulse Devices and circuits,Integrated circuits.

Try to understand your subject as much as possible starting from diodes, transistors,FET transistors, clippers, clampers,Universal gates, oscillators, multi vibrators to Electrical machines like motors and generators.

Refer books of Pearson Education,Millman,K.R. Botkar,Moris mano,Boylestead and Anand Kumar.

all the best

Re: How to start my IES preparation? I am BE electronics third year student

upsc civil services are very important for prepatation ,and there is a lot for competition. At newspaper stands ,you might find some sample papers.IES is conducted by UPSC and You have to do same example problems thrice. You have to read same topic in the SAME book thrice. You are done. You can expect IES. Frankly IES don’t need any talent, but perseverance and consistency in preparatio so you can get all relevant study materials from the sites:www.clickindia.com
