To join navy in officer cadre you will need to write CDS(combined defence services) either in your final year or after that.But don't be too optimistic.Little drops of water make a mighty ocean.So after getting selected you'll start from sub-leiutant and then gradually get promoted in 7-8 years to captain. Re: Exam for Captain's post in Navy after Mechanical engineering from LPU? Captain is an officers rank in Navy. To get a officer's rank you need to appear for CDS [Combined Defense Services] examination conducted by UPSC and pot for Navy wing of armed forces after selection. |
