Re: Detail question about MS in Germany DEAR FRIEND I perceive you are referring to the application deadlines by specifying dates. Please note though one can gain an insight of the general application procedure some facts like the deadlines vary not only in every university but the programs as well. The same can be stated for the fee structure as well, or perhaps the expenses incurred. However, we can definitely help you understand the expected financial expenses so that you may plan out well in advance. The expenses incurred during the stay for the program in Germany though is far more less in comparison to locations like US, UK etc., the cost of living in Germany is quite high in comparison with many countries in Asia, Africa or Latin America. However, as per the information imparted by DAAD, international students need to be able to prove that they have at least 643 euros per month available to them. That amounts to 7,716 euros per academic year. Tuition fees used to be unknown in Germany. But the situation has changed over recent years. Initially, fees were introduced for long-term students, visiting students (i.e. from other universities) and for participants of postgraduate and Master's programs. Tuition can amount to between 650 and several thousand euros per semester. Students also have to pay the semester fee for each semester. Apart form the tuition always account for these costs • The semester fee (once per semester) • Expenses for study materials and excursions (as needed) • Health insurance contributions (monthly) • Tuition fees (once per semester: not at all universities and not in all programs The bifurcation of the requirement is stated below : Most of the governmental universities charge around 500 EUR/semester, including 250 euros that is mandatory for the student's parliament, canteen, public transport expenditure etc., health insurance could some up to another 50 to 60 euros, and accommodation expenses (hostel) of around 180 to 300 (subject to availability). Now with regard to admission proceedings, the German universities consider the academics while evaluating an application and though GRE was earlier not required in Germany for an international applicant to be considered for a Masters or a PhD, today, many universities have the GRE scores as one of the admission requirements. While the eligibility criteria and admission requirements vary for every university, find below the general application procedure to apply for a Masters degree program in Germany. An application had to be sent either to the university of your choice or to uni-assist. The following check-list shows you which papers and documents you generally have to enclose with your application. Please note that other or additional papers may also be required, depending on the university and degree program. Incomplete papers can also be a cause of rejection. • Application Form for Admission to Studies: As a rule, you can obtain the application forms from the university of your choice (via the International Office). • An officially or publicly authenticated photocopy of all your educational records, certificates confirming any university entrance exams passed abroad, university certificates or degrees gained plus the relevant list(s) of individual grades per academic semester or academic year, plus the relevant list(s) of individual grades scored (e.g. a transcript of records). • Proof of German language proficiency (for example, a TestDaF or DSH certificate) • Passport photo (format: 4 × 5 cm maximum) • Copy of your passport (page with name details and photo) • Proof of any subject-related vocational training or any aptitude tests passed I hope the above stated deals with all your queries. Re: Detail question about MS in Germany Quote:
It takes two years to complete MS from Germany. In first year you will be learning on campus and in the second year you have to work on a project in any industry. It depends from university to university and the place. It will cost around 20 lac's for the entire course. Admissions are offered for fall intake and summer intake. But some universities also provide winter intake. There are many centers in India formulated by British and European education council. These will help students by guiding them regarding the processing. These services are free of cost. You try to find out these centers in your city and contact them. All the Best! |

Re: Detail question about MS in Germany Quote:
yeah i can give answers for some of your questions the minimum percentage requierd by a b.tech student you avail the best scholarship in germany is 75% at min if you show your best in the first two semesters in university then you'll get good scholarship 16 months theory and 5 months practicals extension of time is also available it depends from university to university on an average you will require 25 lakhs i think approxiamate every university will either have a hostel or integrated student rooms the last question bit uncomplete the MS in india is called M.tech which can be get by GATE exam all the best !~aditya~ |

Re: Detail question about MS in Germany I believe ( based on my friends experience who have studied in countries mentioned by YOU) the best would be USA. For all the reasons you have mentioned USA is reported the best place for studies. http://www.studyaroundworld.com/ In all European countries, including Germany and UK, the cost of living and accommodation and fee for studies, is about 1-2 times higher than in USA. Truly speaking my all friends who are now studying or have finished their studies, are very satisfied of the final outcome in USA. Another problem is the language. In Germany you you would have to learn some German and this problem would not exists in The State. Just you have to pass The TOEFL examination before hand. I don't think it could be problem for you. I am not Taking Australia anyway Granted FOR. It is a nice country to visit or stay but I think not for studies. ( atleast I have no bettter knowledge about it). You should talk to somebody who have been studien there or perhaps finished. I am including with this answer a site , where you can find some details for "Studying Abroad".................................... http://www.studyaroundworld.com/ |
