Is there any advantage for doing PhD for a Commerce Lecturer in a Government Degree college?

Ph.D will definitely enhance your credibility as a Lecturer in that college. You can expect to get salary hike and even apply for higher posts like Head of the college. Mostly Ph.D qualified are only considered for the Principal/Director of a college/Institution.

Therefore, with all you experience and a Ph.D degree you will definitely have advantage over others in terms of promotion and salary hike. Also, if you want to enter the research field then Ph.D is the best option for you.
