Of course the year gap of 3 years will matter in the interviews of good companies .So I will suggest you to go for the Govt. jobs only .Year gap doesn't matters in the Govt. jobs .As a diploma holder...

All the BE/B.tech/B.Sc pass out /final year/pre-final year students can apply for GATE .

I think you are concerned about the 12th exam , but I can assure...

2.CTS
3.Wipro

Your percentage in B.tech and 12th is so less .So it is realy lough to join the MNC's for you .

So I will suggest you to go for the companies which requires less percentage criteria like -

Candidate should have at least 80% in aggregate and at least 60% in each Physics ,Chemistry,Math .

There is no percentage criteria for GATE .All the students who have completed BE/B.tech or the students of final/pre-final year can apply for GATE .
