You have asked a real tough question here. It is practically difficult to differentiate between two languages. English itself is used in different ways at different places. The best example is that you a have usage of English called UK English and another one called US English. French is also a language, which is very popular across the world. So , if you can let us know in what way you want the differentiation made, then we could answer this question in a better way.

You are not very clear about the difference you really need between french and english
basically, both are very reputed and well spoken all over the world
each one of them has it's own importance
french is even the older language than english
