Eligibility criteria to join IIST? Am I eligible for IIST after engineering? When is the conduct of IIST entrance exam?


I am a fourth year engineering student. I wish to do post graduation after of this year. I am very much interested in space related topics & research on this field. Can I join at IIST ? If yes when they conduct entrance exam?

# IIST is the abbreviation of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology.

# As you have expressed the wish to join M.Tech. degree course from IIST. You want to appear for the entrance examination conducted by IIST in this regard. But please note that there is no any entrance examination conducted by IIST for the M.Tech. degree courses.

# The admission in the M.Tech. degree courses in IIST are done purely on the basis of score obtained by the candidate in GATE.

# Required eligibility criteria:

* Candidate must have obtained at least 60% marks in B.E./B.Tech degree course.
* Candidate must have scored valid GATE score.
* Candidate of general category must not above the age of 28 years.
* Candidate of reserved category get the relaxation in upper age as per Government rules.

# Following are the programmes available in M.Tech. from IIST:

* Structures and Design
* Control Systems
* Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics
* Machine Learning and Computing
* Solid State Technology
* Thermal and Propulsion
* Earth System Science
* Geo-informatics
* Digital Signal Processing
* Optical Engineering
* VLSI and Microsystems
* RF and Microwave Engineering
* Materials Science and Technology
