Before scheduling the Interview itself, the companies would ask for the required details like
-Highest Academic Qualification
-Percentage of Marks in all the academic levels
-Previous work experience
-Contact Details like Mobile Number and Email ID
-Current Salary and Expected Salary
-Preferred Work Location
-Updated Resume

And before appearing for the Interview or at the time of Interview, the candidate again have to fill these details in online or offline (varies from one company to another company) and then Interview would be conducted.

If the candidate is selected in all the rounds, offer letter will be released to the candidate.

Offer letter contains complete details like when to join, location of joining, salary details and the company policies along with the required documents to carry on joining date.

On the joining day, the candidate will have to take originals and xerox copies of all the academic documents and the HR people will just verify xerox copies against the originals and the original certificates would be given back to the candidates.

Later on the HR people would verify the total number of marks or percentages or Grades that you filled before appearing for the Interview against the xerox copies of documents that you submitted.

If there are any slight deviations, they would just ask you to correct it. In case if the deviation is high, they will terminate your job.

1 such example is, if the minimum percentage of marks criteria is 60% to be eligible for that company and if you filled it as 60% before giving Interview and after verifying , HR people found it as only 55%. They will simply take back their offer especially in the case of MNC's.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
