Can I study PhD in IIT after completion of M.Sc(Physics)?


Hello,
I am doing my final year of M.Sc in Physics. Can I do my PhD in IIT after completing my Master's degree? Please reply as soon as possible.

You are a student of M.Sc in Physics so you can do Ph.D course in IIT but you should qualify in GATE or CSIR NET exam.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for CSIR NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

Your age should be below 28 years.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then are eligible for GATE exam.

There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.
