  • NET i.e National Educational Testing Bureau of UGC (University Grants commission) conducts NET Exam for Lectureship and award for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) to Indians.

CSIR’S GATE QUALIFIED JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP FOR PHD FOR ENGINEERING GRADUATES

In this only B.Tech biotech students are eligible. and by giving gate exam they can enroll in jrf program which will lead to phd

esh BE/ B Tech degree holders with valid GATE score. The selected candidates will have to pursue Ph.D. There can be two possibilities under this:

o Get direct admission to Ph.D programme of University/ IIT/ NIT/REC etc.
o After joining as JRF-GATE, the candidate may pursue MTech as a part of PhD programme, where their thesis semester (last semester) should be spent at the CSIR laboratory relating to lab specialization in order to keep the continuity for the PhD programme.
OR
Those who are starting the thesis semester of ME/ MTech programme and having valid GATE score and desirous of pursuing PhD

1)You have to completed master's degree with 55% and for ST/SC candidate must score above 50%.

2)your age should be less than 28 years.

You must hold a masters degree to be eligible for the national eligibility test for lectureship conducted by UGC.
You must have scored a minimum of 55% in your masters degree examination. If you belong to SC/ST category, you may take the test with a minimum of 50% in the same.

For Junior research Fellowship-JRF, apart from fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned above, you must be within the age limit of 28 years.
The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST category is 33 years.

yes you do UGC Net exam after the completion of B-tech or any master degree with the minimum requirement percentage of mark is 55% for the UGC net exam This UGC net exam is conducted twice in a year
