Will I have to repeat class if I fail in 1 or 2 subjects of class 9th exam?


Hi, my annual exam of class 9th are going on and I'm in a school affiliated to West Bengal Board. If I fail in 1 or 2 subjects in the exam then will i have to repeat the whole class once again?

If i failed in maths and passed other subjects (actually I have 6 subjects) so will I be promoted to next class without any compartment exam???
Is compartment compulsory??
