Hello Sir, my height is 163 cms and I am a male candidate. I want to become a Police Superintendent. I think that my height is not suitable. I just want to know that with this height I can become the Police SI?

Police superintendent physical requirements;

Height - 165 cm and 160 cm for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Chest - minimum 84cm and expansion 5 cm.

Eyesight - 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye.

Minimum height required to apply for the post of police superintendent is 165 cms, however Age relaxation of 5 cm is given to SC/ ST/OBC candidates.

As per the information available, the minimum height required to police services is 165 cm (5 ft 5 in) and the chest should be 84 cm (33 in) without expansion and chest with expansion of 5 cm (2 in).

As per this, you are not eligible to join police as Police Superintendent. However, you can apply for other posts which do not require physical tests.

As per my knowledge, you are not eligible to become a Police Superintendent with 163 cms height.

HEIGHT REQUIRED FOR MALE AND FEMALE

** For Male Candidate: 165 cm (5 ft 5 in)

** For Female Candidate: 155 cm (5 ft 1 in)

The age of the candidate should be in between 21 to 38 years.
