How to prepare for UGC NET examination?


Hello, please tell me how can I qualify the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) entrance examination. How should I plan my studies? Usually how much time does it takes to complete the UGC NET syllabus?

Preparation tips for UGC NET exam:

For paper 1:

As you know the exam is online, one must practice paper 1 test of UGC NET regularly, in order to maintain proper speed and accuracy for the exam.

Dwarkapuri are weaker sections of paper 1 and learn to prioritise the units based on your performance in mock tests.

Evaluate your preparation for paper 1 with the help of mock test sample papers.

Prem study plan for each day and try to execute it.

Maintain a notebook where you keep track of your strengths and areas which need for the development.

There is no negative marking in paper 1, one must aim to attempt all 50 questions.

Try devote at least three hours everyday for the preparation of paper 1.

For paper 2-

Paper 2 is also and MCQ based exam and this paper is based on the subject selected by candidate while applying for UGC NET exam.

This paper includes the subjects of graduation and post graduation level.

You must try to devote at least 5 hours for the preparation of this paper since the course is huge.

You should focus more on the code topics of your subject.

Make chapter wise notes, highlight the important points, basics aur important formulas, which carry comparatively more weightage in the exam.

Solved previous 10 years question papers.

Do not procrastinate.

Device what you study during the day and practice questions based on it.

Give an overview when you start.

Read the topic thoroughly.

Review the topic which will help you in knowing that how better have you understood.

Rejuvenate yourself before you start a new chapter.

Do not worry too much about the end results.
