Dear Sir,
I completed Diploma in Automobile Engineering. And now going to start B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in distance education from a DEC approved home university. My age is 21 year. Can I do IPS after completing B.tech???? Is there any age relaxation for SC categories????

To join IPS, you will need to write Civil Service Examination, conducted by UPSC every year.

The minimum educational qualification required to write the exam is a bachelor's degree from a recognised institute.
Candidate must have attained the age of 21 and must not be over 30 years.
The maximum age limit for SC/ST candidates is 35 years and for OBC candidate is 33 years.

Yes,definitely you can apply for IPS exam which is conducted by the UPSC every year.

The technical services under IPS are IRTS, IPS, DANI PS, CISF, RPF & other Police organization.

The age criteria for this exam is minimum 21 years on the applying month.

For SC/ST candidates the age relaxation is 35 years.

After completing B.Tech you can apply for the exam.

For becoming an IPS officer you have to crack all stages of Civil service exams.

However, the minimum educational Qualification required for it is that....Candidate must have passed its Bachelor degree from any stream it does'nt matter weather through Distance mode or regular mode its also does'nr matter, there is also no aggregate Restriction.

Age Limit: For General 30 years, For OBC 30 years, For SC/ST relaxation of 5 years, For deaf, Blind etc. relaxation of upto 10 years.

MAximum Numbers of attempt allowed: For General 3 times consecutively, For OBC 7 times, For SC/ST 5 times.......

any branch of learning.

there is nothing though your b.tech knowledge will come of use.

Dear friend
You can be an IPS by taking UPSC test after doing graduation from any steam. There is no boundation on the basis of graduating subject.
According to your current age you would take the test in the age of 25 at least.
But you are elegible till you get 35 years old.
So, focus on your preparation.

Friend for becoming IPS officer you need to be a graduate from a recognised college and yor minimum age should be atleast 21 years. The UPSC conducts Civil services exam every year you have to appear for it. So go for it and Make a serious preparation.

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125
Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels.

Surey you can ,dear.The only requirement for this exam is graduate.After doing B.Tech you should apply by filling form of civil services,do try for IAS.Though you are from SC category there will be age relaxation also.Just get preparing for it from 2nd year only.

Friend if you want to become a lecturer in a polytechnic college than you should definitely go for your pg in the respective field and then appear for net exams. This the best thing you can go for. it is has good career as teaching is a reputed job in society.

You can choose any course from the list of optional subjects available For the Civil services exam. You should take subjects according to your educational backgraound and Interest.

off-course friend..you apply for the colleges for the jobs..as some of the subjects will be covered in b.tech.yes,you can do job as a lecturer in polytechnic colleges..i think it's a direct approach to the college where you want to do the job...all the best

Yes you of course can do IPS after completing B.Tech as eligibility criteria for the same is :-

Graduates in any discipline or professional and technical qualifications recognised by the government from a recognised university.

Age limit :- Within 21 to 30 years.

Yes there is age relaxation of 5 years for the SC categories.

Yes you can do.To write Group-1 the eligibility is graduation.And they are not worried if you do your graduation in distance mode or correspondence or regular.

Eligibility criteria for IPS

Hi,

Graduation from a recognised university or a college in India is the minimum eligibility criteria for IPS. He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Exam every year. The Civil Services Exam holds the key for entry into a number of prestigious jobs in the country including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS).

IAS, IFS, and IPS are the top three services of Group A, Central Services. The other Group A services include Indian Customs and Central Excise Service, Indian Revenue Service, and Indian Postal Service.

Civil Services Exam consists of preliminary exam (prelims), main exam (mains), and interview. The prelims are usually held in May /June. Mains are held in October/November. The exam is notified in December. Application forms can be obtained from designated post offices around the country and the exams are held in major cities.

For appearing in the IPS exam you need only to be gradaute from any recognised University.
and 21 years of age and nothing else..
Since after completing your gradaution you can appear for this exam which is conducted by UPSC each year
