I am a mechanical engineer looking for work with indian army.
But i have a problem with my height(5'2'').
How can i get in.

you can apply for different fields based on your qualification!! like after 12th you can join as soldier else if you have did engg or bsc anything else than for different field we have SSB for joining army as a officer!!

You can try for this but there is some uncertainty about the recruitment because mostly they recruit tall person but there is no need to discourage U can try for this. ok

Yes you can.You can get through by qualifying the CDS exam.

As an Engineering graduate you can join the Indian Military Academy directly. you only need to attend the Service Selection Board interview. Age at the time of joining should be between 20-27 years

The physical standard requirements (height, weight, chest) for joining indian army vary from region to region.

As far as the height is concerned you need to have minimum height of 157cms. But there may be chances that they may get good candidates of same profile with good height, then preference will be given to them.
So you need to do some extra effort to get selected. You have to prove yourself better in other fields than others.

Since you are a engineering student so you can apply for the Indian Army through university entry scheme. Since the minimum height needed through this entry is 157cm which means 5ft 2inch so according to that you are eligible for the Indian Army through University entry scheme.

You can apply for the university entry scheme at the time of final year or in pre-final year. The eligibility criteria for this is given below:

AGE LIMIT:
19-25 yrs (Final Year).
18-24 yrs (Pre Final Year).

Mode of Selection
The selection will be done through Campus interview and SSB interview.


The course will be commenced during the month of July every year.

I'm sorry friend you are not eligible for Indian Army.

5'2" tall means near 159 cm.But the minimum height required here is 165 cm.
