The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for the bank PO exam is a bachelors degree.
The required percentage of marks depends upon the standard set by a particular bank. Apart from educational qualification, the eligible age also varies in private sector banks and public sector banks. To be eligible for most of the banks PO examination, candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% in +2 and 55% in bachelor degree exam.

1.Most of the banks demand at least 60% in 12th or Diploma and at least 55% or 60% in graduation.

2.Their age range goes from 21 to 30.

There is no minimum marks given for Bank PO exam cause it differs for different banks which you are going to write the exam...but the minimum will be 50% and above... if you perform well in all the sections of the bank exam then for sure you will be selected... so just study the pattern of the bank PO exam and prepare well accordingly... there are various no. of books available which specially helps you to prepare the bank exam... just follow the link below for bank PO exam books...

Selection Procedure
Most of the banks select the candidates based on the performance in written test and interview (two stages). SBI is conducting an additional test called Group Discussion in the selection process. Punjab National bank is conducting the written exam in two stages i.e. Prelims and Mains.

Written Test
Some of the banks are conducting their written test in multiple choice pattern where as some are conducting Descriptive exam in English as an additional test along with the Objective Paper.

Objective Examination
The pattern of paper depends on the bank. In banks like Union Bank and IOB it is enough if the candidate qualifies in English paper. Some other banks will consider the marks obtained in English to decide the final rank of the applicant. The questions are asked from topics like Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language. In some of the bank exams 50 questions will be asked from computer awareness in a separate section and the candidate has to get the minimum qualifying marks in this section. Some of the banks will gives the questions on Computer awareness, Business and Marketing Aptitude, Banking awareness questions in General Awareness paper only. In general the question paper for this competitive exam contains around 200 or 225 questions with the total marks of 200 or 250. The duration of POs examination is either 2 hours or 2 hours 15 Mins depends on the number of questions asked in the question paper. Every question has 5 options. For every wrong answer 1/4th mark is deducted as a negative mark.

Descriptive Test
In this examination the examiner is trying to test the writing skills of the candidate and it is enough if the candidate gets minimum qualifying marks in this paper. Minimum qualifying mark for general candidates is 40% and 35% in case of SC, ST and OBC. In general the time duration for this exam is one hour. Most of the banks will design the question paper which contains 5 questions with internal choice. Question may be asked from the current affairs, a topic is given and the applicant will be asked to write the answer either opposing or agreeing with the topic, Paragraph writing, Letter writing, Preci writing and so on. In this examination expression is important along with the language.

Qualifying the Written exam
The minimum qualifying mark which should be obtained in every section is 40% for general candidates and 35% in the case of SC, ST and OBC. The candidates will be called for an interview based on the Merit list. The ratio will be 1:3 which again depends on the bank.

To get an Interview call
In general, one can expect a call for the interview if the candidate scores more than 60% marks in all sections. If the candidate scores 70% in all sections, then definitely he will get a call for an interview.

In terms of the education qualification required to appear for this exam first of all you need to complete your graduation. It should be from a recognised university. Also the minimum percentage required to qualify to appear for this exam varies between banks. For the private banks normally a minimum of 60% is a must. Also many of them are now asking for the aggregate score. Banks like SBI ask for 55% score. Also they do give some relaxations for those from SC/ST. There is minimum age requirement of 21 years. Most of the forms will be available online in the website of the bank. Also you can collect it from the respective banks too.

Different Bank has its own requirements for Bank PO exam.

Most of the banks requires 60% of aggregate in your graduation.

And to get qualified in the exam and become Bank Po many banks announced

minimum pass percentage as 35%.

Criteria for bank po:-

1)10 with 60%

2)10+2 with 60%

3)graduation with 60%

Educational Qualification: Any degree from a recognized University with 60% marks or 55%marks for General and OBC Candidates and 55% or 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD Candidates. There are 2 cut off marks as different banks have different cut off marks as eligibility for their recruitment exam.

IBPS ha not given any minimum marks criteria for eligibility to give IBPS exam.

Eligibility criteria -

Graduation from a recognised university.

Age - 20 - 30 years.

There is no minimum percentage required, though some banks notify the minimum percentage which is 50%.

Sir, i am graduated with 55% marks from awadh university and 72% in 10th ,75% in 12th. am i eligible for bank po?
