Gobi College of Arts & Science was established in 1968 which offers Co-education. The college was affiliated to Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore. The college provides education and gives preference to students coming from agricultural background and poor economic society. The college became autonomous in the year 1987 and has modified several courses in accordance with the demand raised by the society. The college is situated in Gobichettipalayam, a small town and is built on 45 acres of land with excellent infrastructure. It has gained a phenomenal growth over the past years and has gained reputation as one of the top ranked educational institute for pursuing PG courses and research activities. It has been re-accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade Certificate.

Admission Procedure:

The entire admission process is guided as per the norms fixed by the Government of Tamilnadu and quota of reservation prescribed by it. The reservation quota for admission in UG and PG courses are as follows:-

Open quota – 31 %

For S.C. – 18 %

For S.T. – 1%

For M.B.C. – 20%

For B.C. – 30%

Under each quota, some seats are reserved for physically handicapped students.
