It was in the year that the IGNOU was established. This University’s main aim was to establish higher education by the means of open and distance learning. This university offers as many as 338 programmes which are distributed over 3,500 courses for students all over India. The University provides programmes like bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctorate; under-graduate and post-graduate diplomas; and various certificate programmes.

B.Ed. degree is also provided by IGNOU. This degree certifies an individual to be a trained teacher. This is a 2 years course. Teaching science is an important paper in the second year of the course. The credit point for this subject is 4. This subject mainly deals with the how the subject science can be taught in a manner so as to help students in understanding the various science topics.

Paper pattern of Teaching of Science question paper

There are four questions in the exam and all the four are compulsory. For each question word limit is given and candidates are required to answer within the given word limit. For this paper word limit for the entire question is 600 words. All the questions have equal weightage. To qualify a candidate must obtain 70%. Some questions may even have sub parts and even internal choices.

Candidates are required to complete the paper in 3 hours.
