About the examination:

Bachelors in Information Technology has a minimum duration of 6 months and a maximum duration of 2 years.The eligibility of getting admission in this course is 10+2. Bachelors in Information Technology has many papers including Computer Applications in Art and Design Papers.

Examination Pattern:

The paper is coded CSM01, CS stands for computer related corses.It deals with topics like creating cover pages, designing, desktop.

The paper has 2 parts:

A Theory paper

A Practical paper

Theory paper Maximum time and marks:

Time allotted is 2 hours and marks are 60.

Pattern:

There are two sections:

In section A there are 10 multiple choice questions which are compulsory carrying 1 marks each and then descriptive questions of a total equal to 20 marks. In section B there are 3 questions out of which one has to do 2 carrying an equal weightage of 15 marks, thus totaling to 30.

Practical Paper Maximum time and marks:

Time allotted is 1 hours and marks is 30.

Pattern:

There are two questions each carrying 10 marks therefore a total of 20 marks and carries a weightage of 15%.

The remaining 10 marks are allotted to viva.

Paper pattern:

Questions are frequently asked from the following topics, changing pixel dimensions, using editors and exploring its other applications, concepts of VGA, Modifying physical characteristics of an image, The functions and important aspects of a scanner, Acting as an multimedia advisor and its various tasks, application of hypertext, changing the pixel dimension of an image, Concepts of vector graphics and bitmapped graphics, Mastering the tools for desktop publishing, Usage of softwares like adobe illustrator, Defining an area within image and then moving that area to a new location.
