Indian Statistical Institute is one of the best institutes that offer JRF in psychology. The eligibility criteria is a good academic record with M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology/Applied Psychology . Candidates are selected on the basis of written tests, academic record and interviews that the institute takes. In the beginning a student is admitted as a Junior Research Fellow. After the satisfactory progress of two years the candidate is tested for senior research fellowship.

Outline of the paper

The test for candidates of Junior Research Fellowship in Psychology consists of basically short answers. Two tests are held: Research methodology in the morning and Psychology in the afternoon session.

Timing and Marks

Both the tests are of hundred marks and lasts for two hours.

Paper Pattern

There are six questions and the first question is compulsory. Out of the rest five, four are to be answered. Each question is of twenty marks. The second paper is of psychology. This one is also of hundred marks and lasts for two hours. This paper has two groups. In the first group there are three questions out of which are to be answered and in the second group three questions out of five are to be answered.

    1) to find out a best institute which provides correspodence course for preparing NET/ JRF in psychology.
    2) I have completed MSc. psyhology with specialization in ” Clinical Psychology” Ima confused whether each branch of psychology have different NET/JRF exams?
