Government of Andhra Pradesh governs the rules of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, which was previously acting as two separate public service commissions being Andhra Public Service Commission and Hyderabad Public Service Commission.

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has called for applications from eligible candidates through online from 29th of February 2012 to 29th of March 2012 for recruitment to the position of Industrial Promotion Officers in Andhra Pradesh Industries Subordinate Service and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Eligibility requirements:

Education: For applying to the position of Industrial Promotion Officer, candidates must be degree holders in any of the following branches of engineering/Technology from an institution/university incorporated or established according to the provisions of central/state government provincial Act or an institution recognized by the UGC:

Instrumentation Engineering

Petro-chemical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering

Ceramics

Automobile engineering

Industrial engineering

Production engineering

Metallurgical engineering

Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Computer Science Engineering

Electronics & Communication Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Chemical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Even candidates with diploma in any of these branches with three years of experience in a reputed industrial undertaking or factory or workshop are eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be based on performance of candidates in written test, which will be of objective type and tentative date of written test is 06th of May 2012. Application fee:

All candidates inclusive of reserved category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs.100 and unreserved category candidates will have to pay Rs.80 extra towards examination fee. The fee should be paid before the 27th of March 2012. For payment of fee, candidates will have to first logon to the website of www.apspsc.gov.in and should enter all his/her personal details and on entering the details, they can get downloadable challan form, which should be used for payment of fee either through AP online centers/SBI and on payment, they can get fee paid challan with journal number, which should be used when applying online.

How to apply:

Candidates will have to apply online through www.apspsc.gov.in from 29th of February 2012 to 29th of March 2012.
